Aquatics Facility and Programs
The City of Huntington Woods operates a seasonal outdoor pool for the enjoyment of all its residents located adjacent to the Recreation Center. The pool is an innovative design that combines two pools in one. The zero-depth entry area is a shallow water wonderland with its custom-made water features including kiddie bubblers, shooting lemon drops, a waterfall umbrella, a kiddie slide, and a larger water slide with a separate splashdown area. Other innovative features include underwater benches, therapy jets, and umbrellas for in-water shade. The competitive swimming and diving area features track-style starting platforms, tiled racing lanes and a 1 meter diving board with a 12 ft. diving well. The pool has a state-of-the-art filtration system which filters 261,000 gallons of water every 6 hours, high-efficiency heaters, an automatic water level controller, and a computerized chemical control system.
- The outdoor pool season begins the Saturday before Memorial Day and runs thru Labor Day. Check out the current year mailer.
- The pool is available for use by residents only. There are a variety of membership options available. Non-residents must be accompanied in the pool by a resident. Published guest rates apply. Purchase a swim pass by Friday, May 8, 5:45 PM and receive a free 4-visit guest pass (one per family) for any guest who accompanies a season pass holding family member to the pool.
- Swim passes go on sale in January at the Recreation Center.
- Updated schedule and rate information is available in the spring edition of the Hometown Herald and the Aquatics Club Swim Schedule. Both of these publications are mailed to Huntington Woods’ households and posted online at hwmi.org.
