Spend your summer making friends, gaining work experience, and having fun.  The goal of the LIT program is to provide a summer experience for youth that incorporates learning job skills, team building, service to the community, and fun.  This is an excellent program for teens who wish to build employment skills for the future.

Summer LIT opportunities include, age specific:
Completing 6th Grade:  Special Events, Library, Recreation Center Front Desk.
Completing 7th Grade: Summer Camp, Special Events, Library, Recreation Center Front Desk.
Completing 8th Grade & up: Summer Camp, Special Events, Library, Recreation Center Front Desk.

LIT applications are at the available at the Recreation Front Desk and must be turned in by the beginning of May.  Check the Spring newsletter for the exact date.  Late applications will not be considered.  LIT’s should sign up for an interview date and time when they turn in their application.  Those selected for the program must attend a mandatory training session for their position before they can begin volunteering. Every attempt is made to accommodate as many applicants as possible, but spaces are limited.  Placements will be based on age, previous experience (including LEAD program completion) and availability.  Only residents are eligible for this program.
