The City of Huntington Woods in conjunction with the consulting firm MKSK studios kicked-off the Master Plan Update process early in 2021. Residential input will be key in the process, more information about the Master Plan can be viewed at https://www.hwmasterplan.com/.
Prior to submission of a site plan application, applicants are encouraged to schedule a pre-application meeting with the Zoning Administrator. At the meeting, staff and the applicant will discuss the preliminary concept for the project and conceptual plans if available. City staff will explain what portions of the Zoning Ordinance impact the project and the general timeline. It is an opportunity for the applicant to ask questions before final plans are prepared and to identify any potential roadblocks that might delay the project.
